- Work with different operating systems, and use command-line tools, scripts, and batch files to automate tasks
- Communicate effectively with other developers, users, and stakeholders, and document the database design, configuration, and maintenance procedures
- Learn new features and technologies related to PostgreSQL, and keep up with the latest updates and best practices
